They can safely stop vehicles from high speeds and will continue to work at very high temperatures. These pads are manufactured with the same positive molding process used by OE suppliers--extreme pressure to compress the friction material and bond it to the backing plate. This process assures consistent friction material density throughout the pads, resulting in even wear and performance characteristics during the life of the brake pad. These pads are manufactured with the same positive molding process used by OE suppliers--extreme pressure to compress the friction material and bond it to the backing plate. This process assures consistent friction material density throughout the pads, resulting in even wear and performance characteristics during the life of the brake pad. Centric Fleet Performance brake pads are also scorched; this additional process forces any impurities out of the friction material and pre-burnishes the pads to greatly accelerate the break-in process.
