Sonnax output shaft supports are high-strength replacements for the stock Powerglide output shaft support. They are made from high-strength 6061-T6 billet aluminum to ensure rigidity where it is needed most. The supports are purposely built for racing, eliminating the provisions for the governor. A high-quality pre-installed roller bearing keeps friction losses to a minimum, while the billet aluminum construction lowers the weight dramatically. The Sonnax output shaft supports can be used with both long and short OEM and aftermarket tailshaft housings to allow for use in almost any drag racing application. They feature a true bolt-on installation for the popular Powerglide transmission and can benefit both bracket ET and professional drag racers.
