Permatex Black Rubber Sealant

Permatex Black Rubber Sealant is an oil-resistant automotive sealant that may be used as a coating. This high-strength, ready-to-use product insulates, seals, and caulks. It is weather-resistant, skins over quickly, and does not dry out or become brittle. The economical black sealant may also be used as an adhesive on porous substrates, and works well for use on door and window glass applications, weatherstripping, and electrical connections. Features and properties of material: (uncured and cured) * Chemical Type: Neoprene rubber * Appearance: Black viscous liquid * Viscosity, cps: 10,000 * Flash Point, TCC, degrees F: -4 * Product retains effective properties in contact with automotive fluids, such as motor oil, transmission fluids, and alcohol and antifreeze solutions * Typical Curing Performance: Cure is dependent on temperature and humidity conditions (will dry to touch in 2 hours at 0.25 inch coating thickness; full cure will develop in about 24 hours) * This product is recommended for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen-rich systems and should not be selected as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials Show Less
