Oversized Tires

One popular upgrade option among enthusiasts who are looking to give their Tundra pickup a more aggressive appearance and improve off-road performance is oversized tires. Common choices include 33-inch, 35-inch, and 37-inch tires, each of which can offer the additional ground clearance needed for traversing rough terrain. Drivers should be certain to choose compatible Toyota Tundra wheels and tires packages to get the best performance from the vehicle. Typically, 33-inch tires pair well with 15-inch or 16-inch rims, while larger tires often work best with wider rims.

All-Terrain vs. Mud-Terrain Tires

All-terrain (AT) tires are a great choice for tackling most road conditions, as well as light off-road driving. Small tread blocks, narrow voids, and siping offer an ideal combination of all-around traction, handling, durability, and ride quality. TPMS Sensors

Tire pressure monitoring systems have existed in vehicles since the 1980s, but it wasn’t until 2007 that the technology became mandated on all new light vehicles sold in the U.S. Late-model Tundra trucks with TPMS feature built-in sensors that detect air pressure and communicate it to the driver via the in-cab display.
