COMP Cams Chrysler Hemi phaser camshafts utilize Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology to maximize power and performance in stock and street/strip applications. The new Hemi engines from Chrysler are great power plants straight from the factory, with technology that allows the camshafts to move in real time. Instead of scrapping this advanced system, COMP Cams has embraced it with a new line of aftermarket Hemi-specific cams. The patent-pending Hemi phaser camshafts work with phaser limiters or locks to fully utilize Chrysler's Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology, which allows them to pick up torque in the low end of the engine, while maintaining power up high. Made from a billet core, these hydraulic roller cams are engineered tough enough to handle 5.7L and 6.4L Hemi street/strip engines. Their unique, no-springs-required design maintains piston-to-valve clearance, while enabling high performance lobes utilizing VVT, making them perfect for late model Dodge Challengers, Dodge Chargers, Chrysler 300s, Jeeps, Dodge trucks, and Mopar crate engines with VVT. COMP Cams Chrysler Hemi phaser camshafts are available as both custom and three different off-the-shelf grinds, dependent upon engine type, for improved performance over OEM options. Melling timing chain sets are designed for use with either performance or stock cams. They have a solid-bushing chain for a true bearing surface that rolls with the sprockets, eliminating chain stretch. The crank gears are machined from stress-proof steel. Most Melling timing chain sets have three keyways to ensure accurate timing for early or late model vehicles, and to allow you to set the cam timing at 4 degrees advanced, 4 degrees retarded, or stock. However, 50-state (stock replacement) sets have single keyways. The chains are available in several styles, such as single or double roller, single non-roller, and link belt. Melling M-Select Class 1 camshafts are part of their full line of high performance camshafts graded from Class 1 to Class 4. Class 1 camshafts have durations of 200 to 215 degrees at .050 in. lift. They feature good idle quality with strong low-rpm torque and midrange performance. These cams will work well with stock or slightly modified engines with either manual or automatic transmissions. M-Select Class 1 camshafts may have lower vacuum than OE camshafts.

Hamilton Cams camshafts are available in a wide variety of profiles to improve airflow whether you're towing 30,000 lbs. in the mountains, drag racing, or sled pulling. They have the widest selection of cams to meet your specific turbo size, application, and rpm range needs from 1,500 to 6,500 rpm. OEM cast iron camshafts typically have a very hard exterior for long life with softer cores that can handle torsional forces without fracturing. However, when a camshaft that was designed for 2,800 rpm starts getting pushed beyond 5,000 rpm, you are a good candidate for a Hamilton Cams steel camshaft. Even more so when large injection pumps, heavy springs, and high-lift profiles are used. Because they are ground on precision CNC grinders, in most instances Hamilton Cams camshafts do not need to have the centerlines moved. However, because of OEM production tolerances, issues can arise when switching crankshafts and cam gears from different engines and year models. Incorrect camshaft centerlines can be remedied with an offset key. Hamilton Cams has keys that offset the installed centerline from 1.5 to 5 degrees. All Hamilton Cams camshafts are for off-road use only.
