Nitrous engines produce some serious horsepower and require a serious torque converter to handle it. B&M nitrous Holeshot torque converters can handle up to 650 hp and are built with the same features as the other B&M Holeshots, with the addition of anti-balloon plates that allow these converters to stand up to the instant horsepower that nitrous delivers. Hays heavy-duty flexplates for high performance and competition engines are constructed from a thicker-than-stock steel plate. This enables them to withstand the stress of high-stall torque converters and high-rpm engines. While factory stock plates tend to crack around the crankshaft hub when punished under high-torque and rpm conditions, the thicker Hays flexplates can handle the force. These heavy-duty flexplates are supplied with a ring gear that is securely welded in place. All Hays heavy-duty flexplates are zinc-dichromate plated to resist corrosion and SFI-certified under specification 29.1.
