Rhodes Race Cars Lemons and Chumps roll cages are available in ERW mild steel, DOM, and chromoly. ERW mild steel is accepted by both sanctioning bodies, but DOM is very strongly recommended. Rhodes Race Cars SCCA, NASA, and Drift roll cages are made specifically for hobbyists and for serious racers looking to compete in SCCA, NASA, or Formula D events. All road race cages feature a main hoop diagonal and dual door bars (can be made into dual X-bars). They are weld-in cages and feature notched tube ends (where applicable) for ease of installation. Roll cages are offered in these materials: * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.134 in. wall ERW mild steel tubing * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.120 in. wall DOM tubing * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.083 in. wall 4130 chromoly tubing DOM tubing is very strongly recommended; ERW cages will most likely NOT pass tech inspection for most classes. Chromoly is not recommended by most sanctioning bodies. Due to different requirements for specific classes and weights, you should check with your track or sanctioning body for specific guidelines prior to purchase. It is the installer's responsibility to assure that a cage meets race organization rules as to tubing material and sizes, fit, placement of components, and welding. Note: Because of differing driver sizes and main hoop locations, roof hoop and windshield down bars are not notched. Some minor trimming may be required during installation.
