All road race cages feature a main hoop diagonal and dual door bars (can be made into dual X-bars). They are weld-in cages and feature notched tube ends (where applicable) for ease of installation. Roll cages are offered in these materials: * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.134 in. wall ERW mild steel tubing * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.120 in. wall DOM tubing * 1 5/8 in. O.D. 0.083 in. wall 4130 chromoly tubing DOM tubing is very strongly recommended; ERW cages will most likely NOT pass tech inspection for most classes. A properly operating idle air control valve is an essential component to helping your vehicle run flawlessly. These valves are often referred to as idle air control or IAC valves (GM), automatic idle speed or AIS valves (DCX), and throttle air bypass solenoid or AIR valves (Ford). These idle air control valves are used on both throttle body and multi-port fuel injected engines to regulate idle speed. The IAC valves open a small bypass circuit that allows air to flow around the throttle. Increasing the volume of air that's allowed to bypass the throttle increases idle speed.
