Kibblewhite engineers utilized advanced FEA software to design tappets with maximum toughness and wear resistance to meet the demands of high performance racing applications. Precision tappets are machined from billet aircraft-quality steel. They then undergo a proprietary heat treatment process to create a hard surface and a non-brittle core. The tappets are finished with an OD ground, and then the contact area is lapped and polished to create a very flat and smooth surface for your cam to run against.
