TCI trans-brake kits allow you to achieve maximum torque converter stall for quicker and more consistent reaction and 60 ft. times. They work like this: When the trans-brake is engaged, the vehicle can roll neither forward nor backward, and as you press on the accelerator, the engine can rev as high as the torque converter stall. Once the brake is released, power is immediately transferred to the rear tires, with less parts breakage than with a manual transmission.

These TCI PRO-X TH400 aluminum tailhousings feature light weight and improved strength, while using a tailshaft roller bearing rather than the factory bushing for superior lubrication and durability. The OEM bushing is a common failure point with TH400 transmissions, as it can run dry in high-speed TH400 applications. The TCI PRO-X TH400 aluminum tailhousings are more rigid than other factory or aftermarket tailhousings, with increased structure for added support and durability. The use of the roller bearing provides added lubrication, and the usually unreliable paper gasket used to seal the housing to the transmission is replaced with a precision-machined surface that incorporates an O-ring for a solid, drip-free connection.
