Our Summit Racing™ generator-to-alternator conversion brackets will get you started on your way to a more robust charging system. Without changing the stock mounting location or interference with other components, these 2-piece bracket kits simply replace the existing generator brackets, allowing you to securely mount your alternator. These sturdy steel brackets are designed and precision cut to fit both externally and internally regulated GM alternators. Select the correct Summit Racing™ generator-to-alternator conversion brackets designed for your classic vehicle. Bracket kit notes: * 2-piece kits * No hardware included * No changes to the stock mounting location--factory generator brackets are simply removed, and our alternator brackets replace them * Brackets will not work with the later mini-type alternators, like the CS. * Factory original 6-cylinder motors only--totally stock with generators * Since the vehicles of this time were never wired for alternators, you'll need to do some wiring.
