These Flaming River Mustang power rack and pinions are perfect for street rods, musclecars, and as stock replacements in Ford products that use the Mustang II front steer design. They offer over 6 in. of rack travel, which provides the maximum turning radius for classic and street rod applications. Inside, the pinion gear set is improved over the OE factory design and is engineered to provide ultimate strength characteristics. Outside, they are significantly different from previous designs. The Flaming River Mustang II power rack and pinions use a billet aluminum spool valve housing with a heat sink design for lower operating temperatures. They also feature a longer rack piston tube for added strength and increased rack stability. Their low-profile pressure hose design reduces most installation obstacles.
