Twisted Wedge® 11R 227 cylinder heads represent Trick Flow's ultimate development of the Twisted Wedge® innovation, featuring Trick Flow's most efficient combustion chamber design. The combustion chamber and valve layout move the intake valves away from the cylinder walls to reduce valve shrouding, significantly improving flow at higher lift. Shallow 11° intake/13° exhaust valve angles improve piston-to-valve clearance for high lift cams and reduce chamber volume for improved compression and efficiency. High velocity runners are optimized on the flow bench and dyno proven to outperform the competition on hydraulic roller camshaft engines. Premium materials and components, along with world-class CNC processes, guarantee uncompromising quality and durability, dimensional accuracy, and balanced flow from port-to-port. Ford Performance Parts teamed up with Jon Kaase to redesign their 429 Cobra Jet cylinder heads, and the results are these Super Cobra Jet heads. They feature revised valve angles and locations to reduce cylinder wall shrouding and improve flow, along with redesigned combustion chambers to accommodate the more centrally located valves. These heads use the same valves, valve springs, retainers, and 7/16 in. stud-mounted roller rockers as the current Ford Performance Parts 429 Cobra Jet heads, and the standard Cobra Jet intake and exhaust manifolds bolt right on.
