South Bend Clutch Stage 3 Daily Driver clutch kits are recommended for single mass flywheel (SMF), when original design is dual mass flywheel (DMF). These clutch packages are designed for high-horsepower vehicles desiring a start performance similar to OE. The pressure plate is race engineered (SS) and SFI-approved with significant load increase over stage 1 and 2 pressure plates (+600-800 lbs.). Expect a pedal effort increase of 20 to 25 percent. Discs are assembled with heat-treated wear-resistant hubs, as well as drive plates and springs for high-load transfer and dependable operation. Standard Motor Products replacement idle air control valves help you get maximum fuel efficiency and power from your engine. A properly operating idle air control valve is an essential component to helping your vehicle run flawlessly. These valves are often referred to as idle air control or IAC valves (GM), automatic idle speed or AIS valves (DCX), and throttle air bypass solenoid or AIR valves (Ford). These idle air control valves are used on both throttle body and multi-port fuel injected engines to regulate idle speed. The IAC valves open a small bypass circuit that allows air to flow around the throttle. Increasing the volume of air that's allowed to bypass the throttle increases idle speed. Installing universal converters often requires the use of welding, cutting, and tube-bending equipment that is readily available to most professional installers.
