To compensate for the high-load factors and distortion in these engines, these bearings have higher eccentricity and a high crush factor. P-Series bearings are constructed of tri-metal cast copper lead. They're made for general service on light trucks and passenger cars. The ultra-durable hoses are constructed using all EPDM compounds, with spiral reinforcement for high burst strength and heat resistance of -40 degrees F (-40 degrees C) to +257 degrees F (+125 degrees C). These black cover hoses are similar to the SAE 20R3, Class D-2, and are specifically designed to be compatible with all common coolants and coolant additives. Federal Mogul CP-Series rod bearings feature classic tri-metal construction and are a good choice for either street or moderate competition use. They have rugged 1010 steel backings, covered by Federal Mogul's H-24 copper-lead alloy. On top of this is a nickel barrier, followed by the tri-metal (lead-tin-copper) overplate that gives these bearings their strength and fatigue resistance.
