These race brake pads are an excellent choice for sprint racing or hill climb events, where full brake performance is essential without requiring any warming up, but also makes RP-X race pads well-suited to any type of circuit use where a high initial bite and powerful brake response is desirable. EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads are made with a high-friction sport and race material that can be used for aggressive street and certain track applications. These replacement pads feature great bite when cold, a progressive brake feel, and the ability to bring a car to a complete stop. Deep V-grooves assist in venting—and catching the dirt, dust, and debris that are inevitable in track use. The EBC chemical interlayer system used on Bluestuff NDX range pads is a harder material designed for heavy-duty race applications requiring the extra security of bond strength. The effect of the interlayer is to triple the shear strength of common organic brake pads over non-interlayer versions. These pads bed-in quickly and easily, wear evenly, and are less harsh on rotors than other race pads. EBC Apollo Brake Calipers
One giant leap for performance braking—EBC Apollo calipers! These lightweight, yet strong aluminum brake calipers utilize a 2-piece bolted design, incorporating high-tensile 12.9 Grade steel bolts for stiff reinforcement of the caliper bridge section. This results in a firmer and more responsive pedal feel, especially after a period of harder braking. Apollo Series caliper bodies are machined from heat-treated low-pressure castings—a vastly more expensive production method, but whereby the consistency of the finished part is greatly improved, giving the EBC calipers a noticeable performance advantage over conventional gravity cast calipers. Finishing the calipers, EBC chose to use their revolutionary high-temperature PTFE polyester coating process. Unlike powdercoating that fades, this finish is durable and fade-resistant, easy to wipe clean, and will look good for years to come.
