Hooker Blackheart transmission crossmember hoops are part of the most comprehensive line of Gen III Hemi swap components available for the Mopar B-body. They allow the installation of the popular NAG1 5-speed or 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission when used with the correct adapter plate. Hooker hoops replace the very narrow factory hoops on the original upper transmission crossmember allowing clearance for driveshaft coupler and speed sensor tone rings. When used in combination with the Hooker Blackheart transmission crossmember, they provide a bolt-in clearance solution with OEM strength and durability with no need for any fabrication or welding. In the event of U-joint failure, Competition Engineering universal driveshaft loops will contain your driveshaft. Made of mandrel-formed 1.25 in. O.D. x .083 in. wall mild steel tubing, these kits offer a lightweight, weld-in alternative to bolt-on types. The driveshaft loop portion is a bolt-on design, for easy removal of the driveshaft.
