To help eliminate these issues, Sonnax offers heavy-duty kickdown band struts—made of solid, heat-treated steel that will not bend or break like other stamped struts. These quality replacements feature an extra-thick cross-section for maximum toughness to withstand the increased intermediate "band" applied forces that are common in high performance applications. Installation is easy: just remove the pan and valve body to expose the bottom of the transmission, loosen the adjusting screw to remove all tension from the band, then remove the original strut and insert your new one with the flat surface facing away from the band. Tighten the adjusting screw to manufacturer specs—and you're good to go!

Sonnax TCC regulator and isolator valve kits assist in recovering hydraulic control and renew TCC performance. Severe wear of the TCC (torque convertor clutch) regulator valve bore, caused by oscillation of the OE valve, allows the regulated converter to apply pressure to your exhaust. This is a primary cause for TCC-related slip code and overheated converters. Exhaust pressure also diminishes line pressure, which can result in burnt clutches. Excess wear at the isolator valve bore reduces TCC apply pressure. Reconditioning the bore and installing a Sonnax TCC regulator and isolator valve kit will restore normal TCC operation by reestablishing the hydraulic integrity of this circuit. GM 6L45, 6L50, 6L80 and 6L90 automatic transmission units may exhibit multiple line pressure and cooler/converter/lube flow problems due to excess wear in the pressure regulator bore. Deterioration at the balance spool end allows critical fluid loss, resulting in high line pressure, harsh shifts, and overheating due to reduced cooler/converter flow. Wear at the outboard spool robs converter feed pressure and lowers line pressure, resulting in soft shifts and burnt clutches. Installing a Sonnax pressure regulator valve kit restores the hydraulic integrity of these circuits for proper line pressure control in all ranges.
