Our Summit Performance® headers are manufactured from mandrel-bent tubing for superior flow and greater horsepower. The headers feature a pressure-formed collector for a better flow rate and a JIG-welded tube-to-flange plate for a perfect fit. They're made for off-road and racing use only. Unless otherwise noted, these headers are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the manufacturer. This includes components like cylinder heads, chassis, steering, motor mounts, body mounts and bushings, etc. If your vehicle is using aftermarket components, parts from other applications, or custom-altered parts, then it is the installer's responsibility to verify fitment. The headers are available in a wide range of styles, sizes, and configurations. Order the pair recommended for your application. (Special warning regarding Summit Racing™ painted headers only. The paint on these headers is not designed as a final finish; it is designed to protect the headers after the manufacturing process and during shipping. This paint will not withstand the high heat associated with engine break-in, nor will it withstand the heat cycles associated with any type of driving. Mr. Gasket HEADLOCK locking header bolts simplify header installation with high-strength, 2-in-1 self-locking bolts that eliminate the need for lock washers. Designed for the performance engine builder, these innovative, patent-pending fasteners have 24 equally spaced serrations in the face of the hex head. The bolts grab and lock on to your manifold surface, virtually eliminating the chance that one might back out from vibration or because of the varying expansion rates of different metals. Installing headers can sometimes be a real pain, due to the tight spaces and the location and shape of the tubes. Mr. Gasket can help make installation a little easier and also help prevent annoying exhaust leaks from under-tightened header bolts. They have both the socket-head and hex-head styles of header bolts available. Hex types are heat-treated Grade 5 steel and have smaller-than-standard heads to ease access in tight spaces. Socket-head bolts are made from stronger Grade 8 steel for added ruggedness and they're great for those really difficult-to-reach spots. Both styles have a protective black oxide finish.
