Such interference might not be optimal for extreme-performance applications where a significant amount of heat is created. For those applications, PPE suggests that the exhaust valve seats be replaced with higher interference (+0.006 in. to +0.008 in.) oversized exhaust valve seats (Nominal size 34mm).
