Funk Motorsports Turbo Heat Shields

Funk Motorsports offers turbo heat shields for a wide range of (universal) applications, as well as vehicle-specific models for select BMW, Honda, Ford, and Subaru vehicles from 2002 and up. These turbo and/or turbo wastegate thermal blankets work to insulate the hot side and retain the heat within the exhaust gasses themselves. Hotter gasses accelerate faster, leading to them leaving the system sooner—improving spool up and throttle response. Insulating the turbo also helps to lower the amount of heat that dissipates into the engine bay and intake pipework. A cooler intake results in higher performance and more consistent power figures over time. The 4-layer shields are offered in three finishes: titanium twill, carbon fiber twill, and inside out (for turbos in contact with a heat source). Additional details: * Inside-out blankets have internal material mirrored on the outside, as well * Available for a variety of turbocharger and wastegate styles * A turbo is an absolute furnace within the engine bay. Excess heat produced by the turbo can cause devastation to surrounding sensitive components. Protect anything from oil lines, coolant lines, electronics, and even bodywork positioned close to the turbo from the dangers of excess heat * Funk shields feature specifically developed thread construction to allow for exceptional durability when removal is necessary for routine turbo maintenance. The new fireproof ultra-high temperature stainless steel thread is around 1mm in diameter and can now remain highly durable with temperatures in excess of 1,300 degrees C * New, thicker internal heat lagging insulation provides up to 3x improved heat reduction. This insulation wool is created from a ceramic silica complex matting to improve durability over prolonged heat cycles, as well as insulation quantities * ROHS tested and approved to ensure compliance and desired parameters * NOTE: Turbo blankets are not flammable. However, if any flammable fluids are introduced into close proximity of the blanket, the blanket could become a suitable ignition source for a flame to be produced. Dinan High-Flow X-Pipes

Dinan high-flow X-pipes delivers a deeper tone and a more aggressive note, along with a noticeable increase in volume. Coupled with the associated Dinan exhaust, the sound is further perfected into an aggressive growl that harkens back to the Dinan E9x M3 racing middle exhaust. Rightly so as the same custom X that was used in that application is implemented on the new F8x chassis for that perfect mix of exotic undertones and raw aggression. Unlike a stamped X-pipe that is so common in the marketplace, the Dinan "X" pipes are thoughtfully designed for maximum flow characteristics and by themselves are works of art. Dinan X-pipes remove the factory center section after the secondary catalytic converters, including the large resonator. In its place you will have straight-through mandrel-bent 2.75 in. T304 stainless steel tubing and the custom "X" for better flow, and an improved throaty sound. kits come complete with mounting hardware, OE-quality clamps, and flanges for simplified installation.

Go Fast Bits offers DV Plus Diverter Valves with TMS (Turbo Management System) Advantage for a wide range of vehicles, particularly imports. GFB's DV+ solution couldn't be simpler—keep what works and replace what doesn't. GFB expands the DV+ range with a direct-fit solution for the weak factory diverter valve used on many European vehicles. The solenoid coil itself from the factory-fitted valve is great (the ECU opens it faster than any pneumatic valve so why replace it?)—but the weak point is the valve mechanism itself. So GFB's DV+ solves this problem by replacing just the valve parts with an anodized billet aluminum housing fitted with a brass piston machined to exacting tolerances. The end result is sharper throttle response, lightning-fast valve actuation, and it will hold as much boost as you can throw at it. Other manufacturers' products involve replacing the entire system with a traditional pneumatic valve, requiring long vacuum hose runs, additional parts for tapping into the intake manifold vacuum—plus either a different solenoid valve to actuate the pneumatic valve, or a ballast resistor to plug into the OE wiring loom. All these additional items result in a product that is slower, less responsive, more expensive and takes much longer to install. GFB's DV+ solution on the other hand is more responsive, less expensive, easier to install, and doesn't cause compressor surge/turbo flutter. Order the model recommended for your vehicle.
