APR open carbon fiber intake systems feature a beautiful carbon fiber air dam that directs fresh air into a massively oversized 7 in. cotton filter with frontal inlet. They include thick T304 stainless steel heat shields and air buffer gaps on the back of the carbon fiber shell to reject heat from the engine bay. Doing away with the airbox completely solves the dramatically undersized, power-robbing inlet restriction that's glaringly apparent at higher horsepower levels on the factory system. The 4 in. inlet is compatible with the factory inlet or the upgraded APR Ultracharger System, and efficiently creates an uninterrupted airflow path into the supercharger for maximum results. APR offers the charge pipe and hose kits as a comprehensive upgrade for the 2.0T EA888 Gen 4 engine that addresses each component between the turbocharger and intercooler, and from intercooler to throttle body.
