CURT custom wiring harnesses provide everything you need to connect your vehicle's electrical system to a trailer. With plug-and-play connectors, they easily integrate with your vehicle taillights to provide a standard trailer wiring connector, typically in the form of a 4-way flat. CURT custom wiring harnesses feature a vehicle-specific design to perfectly fit certain years of vehicles and use OEM-compatible connectors to "T" into the vehicle's taillight assembly providing a standard 4-way flat output to power the taillights, brake lights, and turn signals on your trailer. Completing CURT custom wiring harnesses are rubber dust covers. They keep the connection points clean and well protected when connectors are not in use. When your vehicle does not readily provide an electrical connection for hooking up your trailer, CURT taillight converter wiring kits offer the solution. Working taillights on your trailer are absolutely essential any time you tow, and converters provide an effective way to properly equip your vehicle for safe towing. CURT taillight converters connect to your vehicle by splicing directly into the taillight wiring, rather than plugging into various sockets. Although it requires a little extra work compared to a custom wiring harness, a taillight converter offers a reliable, long-term connector solution. Features include: * May be used on both 2-wire and 3-wire systems * Available in several amp capacities * Made with cutting-edge surface-mount technology (SMT) circuitry * SMT circuits have longer life cycles, lower resistance, reduced heat generation, and are more reliable

CURT multi-function taillight converters are advanced taillight converters that offer the ultimate in vehicle compatibility and weather resistance, giving you a reliable wiring connection any season of the year. These converters are controlled using a microcontroller that is able to sense the current passing through it, allowing for quick reactions to dangerous conditions, such as overload and short circuits. They also filter unwanted input signals to protect your wiring systems and utilize low-voltage operation. These converters come with color-coded wires and an easy-to-read wiring guide, as well as a dust cover to protect the 4-way flat connector. These packages also include four snap locks for quicker, more secure splicing. A powered converter wiring kit (sold separately) is required to facilitate the installation.
