Patriot Clippster headers feature longer primaries that exit toward the rear of the engine compartment to clear steering and suspension components. They have slightly shorter primaries than full length headers and provide ground clearance on lowered vehicles. Unless otherwise noted, these headers are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the manufacturer. This includes components like cylinder heads, chassis, steering, motor mounts, body mounts, and bushings, etc. If your vehicle is using aftermarket components, parts from other applications, or custom altered parts, then it is the installer's responsibility to verify fitment. Finishes available: * Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating (MCTBC), which is polished with a vibratory finishing process that not only produces a high-luster aluminum appearance, but also compresses and activates the coating, which increases the surface hardness. The finish is 60 percent more corrosion-resistant than an unpolished surface, easy to maintain, and will last for years under normal operation conditions. MCTBC also protects and extends the life of headers by creating a thermal barrier (heat-resistant up to 1,600 degrees F) that significantly lowers underhood temperatures and protects the substrate metal from thermal fatigue. * Hi-Temp black coating is an affordably priced alternative to their MCTBC. They make Hedman Street headers so well that they guarantee them to be free from defects--including cracks in the tubes and welds--for the life of the headers. Hedman Street headers are available uncoated or in Black Maxx or their polished HTC thermal ceramic coated finishes and, as an added bonus, they also come with all necessary gaskets and mounting hardware. It is recommended that this protective coating be stripped, and a high heat paint or coating designed for use on headers be applied.

MagnaFlow universal catalytic converters by Car Sound form the basic building blocks for many applications. The main benefit of universal catalytic converters is that one unit may cover a wide variety of vehicle makes and models. Installing universal converters often requires the use of welding, cutting, and tube-bending equipment that is readily available to most professional installers. They are extremely well made, with features such as: * A ribbed body that minimizes expansion and distortion when the converter heats up. They form a channel that protects the cushioning mat from direct exposure to exhaust gasses, and hold the ceramic catalyst in proper alignment. * A 1/2 in. lap joint where the necks meet the body. The neck does not extend into the converter body, where it could hamper exhaust flow. * Manufactured with separate dies on different sized inlets. Putting larger neck sizes on smaller bodies would reduce the flow of the converter and the quality of the product. * A monolithic honeycomb catalyst. The ceramic is designed for maximum flow and surface area. The coating method is strictly controlled to maintain exact specifications. * Seam-welded close to the converter body for a strong, tight bond. Welding along the edge could allow the converter to expand like the folds in an accordion, allowing the catalyst to move around. * Heavier-gauge stainless steel, tip-to-tip. They do not use inferior mixed weights and materials. * An aluminized or stainless OEM-style ribbed heat shield that creates a rigid wall of protection against heat and adds to the structural stability of the converter.
