To reconnect the OEM return and vent hoses, 8.5mm barb fittings are also included. No permanent modification to the OEM fuel tank access cover is required. The custom designed stainless electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are properly sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. The low-profile design keeps all wiring tucked nicely underneath the OEM fuel tank cover using the provided foam insulation. Nonconductive acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuits. The high quality in-tank wiring is insulated with chemically resistant ETFE. In these kits, the flow from the FPR return line powers a Radium jet pump. Using a venturi-effect, this "mechanical" pump draws fuel from outside the sub-tank and distributes it directly to the pump inlets.

A properly operating idle air control valve is an essential component to helping your vehicle run flawlessly. These valves are often referred to as idle air control or IAC valves (GM), automatic idle speed or AIS valves (DCX), and throttle air bypass solenoid or AIR valves (Ford). These idle air control valves are used on both throttle body and multi-port fuel injected engines to regulate idle speed. The IAC valves open a small bypass circuit that allows air to flow around the throttle. Increasing the volume of air that's allowed to bypass the throttle increases idle speed. The engine's computer controls the IAC valves, if idle speed is out of range, and commands the IAC valves to either increase or decrease the bypass airflow.
