TCI Super StreetFighter transmissions bridge the gap between the StreetFighters and full Competition series transmissions. Like the StreetFighter units, these are equipped with 100 percent tested, manual/automatic valve bodies. That means that most units allow you to manually shift the vehicle into each gear change or, by placing it in the drive position, remain fully automatic. In either mode, you get a racetrack shift that bangs through the gears and shaves time off your ETs. When you use the manual gear selection feature, the Super StreetFighters upshift and downshift right when you move the lever, with no lag or governor override. When you select the normal drive position, the transmissions retain positive automatic shifts, for the ease of driving you look for in an automatic transmission.

Their forged selection for Chrysler includes special counterbalanced flexplates for neutral balance torque converters in cast crank applications that came with a counterbalanced torque converter. Hays Street 650 clutch conversion kits are designed to handle highly modified engines up to 650 hp naturally aspirated (600 hp for forced induction and nitrous combinations). The new 26-spline versions work in conjunction with a modern 5- or 6-speed transmission swap. These are true street/strip clutches for spirited high performance driving or frequent track use. The high performance dual-friction disc utilized in the Street 650 has an upgraded spring hub with heavy-duty damper springs to handle greater shock loads versus a standard damper spring. The disc features a sintered metallic friction surface and an organic friction surface.
