The GMC Jimmy was introduced as an upscale corporate twin to the Chevrolet Blazer to compete with the Ford Bronco, International Scout, and the Jeep Cherokee. GM touted the Jimmy as the perfect round-town second car or a go-anywhere vehicle with many extras that could be added to a Jimmy uniquely yours. This 1:18 scale 1971 diecast model recalls the retro truck, a forerunner of the Yukon. Its features include: opening doors, hood and tailgate; removable top, poseable steering, fully detailed interior, tilting passenger seat, plumbed and wired engine, detailed chassis, period correct off-road tires, and serialized plate. Only 750 of the models were produced. Each truck includes a printed 1971 GMC brochure cover!
