However, tire inner tubes offer a lot of advantages! Tubed tires retain air better, so they’re safer and more consistent (we’re looking at you, bracket racers). They also make the whole tire package more durable, so they’ll last longer—a big factor for heavy vehicles with smaller tires, and for saving money in the long run. Plus, you should always use inner tubes when driving tube-type tires on the street.
