Insufficient carrier bearing pre-load can result in premature bearing failure and ring and pinion failure in all differentials, and possible oil/air leakage issues in an air locker differential. ARB differential carrier shim installation drivers are professional service tools for installing/servicing common shim pre-loaded differentials. Most common Salisbury-style axle assemblies require the pre-load shims to be tapped into place to achieve the required pre-load during set-up. Tapping shims into a tight space from a single point on the outside edge of the shim can cause damage to the shim, rendering it useless, resulting in extra cost and labor. ARB's shim drivers are comprised of six different sized steel profiles designed to evenly distribute the installation force around the outside edge of a differential shim as it is tapped into place, allowing thinner shims to be inserted into tighter places than would otherwise be possible.

In certain applications there is no way to pilot a reamer to repair a worn valve body, forcing rebuilders to purchase new ones. This patented self-aligning fixture with specially designed tool kits allows these valve bodies to be repaired. The fixture provides an external rigid pilot bore for the reamer and guide pin. The self-aligning feature allows the fixture to be used on multiple valve bodies and valve bores. The fixture base is large enough to provide ample support for the valve body. Various transmissions locate some valve bores in the pump body rather than the valve body. These larger pump bodies do not readily fit onto the standard VB-FIX base plate. Sonnax offers an oversized pump base plate, VB-06, that allows large passenger vehicle pump bodies to be easily mounted and clamped to the VB-FIX for repair. TransGo Performance offers solenoid repair kits for nearly a dozen automatic transmission applications, including models from Mopar and GM. Transmissions often come with contaminated governor pressure solenoids. This results in complaints of wrong gear starts, as well as governor solenoid and sensor performance codes. The computer uses the governor pressure solenoid to generate governor pressure relative to road speed, emulating what the hydraulic governor did in older 'RH' series transmissions. The computer varies the duty cycle to the PWM governor pressure solenoid to achieve the desired output pressure. Simultaneously, it monitors the feedback from the governor pressure sensor to confirm that the governor pressure is doing what it is commanded to do. When the solenoid sticks or is restricted, the computer notices that the pressure reading from the sensor does not match the desired governor pressure and sets a code which puts the unit in limp-in mode, resulting in 3rd gear start and no shift. These TransGo governor pressure solenoid repair kits contain everything you need to take apart the original equipment solenoids, restore the valve bore, then replace the spool valve, spring and cap with new ones. The repair kits include enough parts to rebuild multiple solenoids. The repair kits are available with or without tools.
