Holley Sniper Automatic Transmission Controllers
The Holley Sniper Transmission Controller (STC) is designed for common GM and Ford electronic 4-speed automatic transmissions. Three part numbers cover a complete range of applications—all Sniper EFI systems, Sniper 2 EFI-specific (M8 CAN connection), or a full standalone unit. The Sniper specific applications connect to your Sniper EFI system via CAN bus and are programmed through the existing Sniper 3.5 in. touch screen. No programming is available with PC computer software; however, the transmission functions can be data-logged and reviewed with Sniper PC software. The Standalone version includes a dedicated 3.5 in. touch screen and is primarily intended for carbureted engine combinations. GM and Ford 4-speed electronic overdrive transmissions are simple in operation. They have four speeds, with the top gear being an overdrive; and all have a lockup torque converter that eliminates any slippage when the lockup is applied. With a stock torque converter, the lockup should only be applied under light throttle conditions or excessive wear will occur. Upshifts, downshifts, and torque converter lockup are based on vehicle speed and throttle position (or optionally the MAP sensor) and are adjustable with the 3.5 in. touch screen. Bowler Performance All-in-One transmission wiring harnesses for the Tremec T-56 Magnum transmission comes equipped with all the connections pre-wired into one harness for a simple installation and ease of use. The small epoxy sealed controller is mounted to the VSS output using the existing bolt, and once the unit is powered up, you will be able to connect via Bluetooth to your Apple or Android smartphone using Bowler's free app. The app will give you the ability to customize the input and output settings for each feature to ensure proper operation in your vehicle. The perfect finishing touch for any Tremec T-56 Magnum conversion, Bowler's All-in-One harnesses eliminate the need for any additional equipment to operate the reverse lock out or generate the correct speedometer signals coming from your Tremec T-56 Magnum. Previously, you would have needed up to five separate parts to perform all the same functions wrapped one of these harnesses. The more technology we incorporate into our hot rods sometimes requires specific input signals to allow everything to function correctly. With the two speed outputs available in these harnesses, you can independently control the output of each one further eliminating any need for additional equipment and connections. Regarding the reverse lockout, Bowler has incorporated the same speed setting feature as the OEs into the All-in-One harnesses, giving you better control over when the lock out is triggered. Bowler's All-in-One harnesses give you much greater flexibility in the components you are able to use and require less time wiring everything up, providing an easier solution for setting up your Tremec T-56 Magnum transmission. Choose the harness version designed for your specific transmission make. Advance Adapters 6-bolt to 4-bolt tailshaft adapters are designed for 1996 and newer electronically controlled GM 4L60E transmissions with a hex bolt pattern on the output side of the transmission. They provide a 700R-style pattern for easy fitment of other adapters produced by Advance Adapters, and are 1.500 in. long. The heart of these systems lie in the new clamp-on reluctor ring and sensor which sends a 40 pulse per output revolution signal to the drivetrain control module. These adapters are manufactured from 356 T-6 heat-treated aluminum alloy and also include a GM VSS sensor, fastening hardware, and instructions. Z Automotive Jeep JL/JT Z-Locker OEM Controller Harnesses
The locker sensor in Wrangler JL and Gladiator Rubicons have started to become problematic. When they fail, it usually starts out as a blinking locker indicator on the dash, which then ends up in a "service axle locker" message and the lockers will no longer engage. The repair would normally be to replace the sensor or the locker assembly, but they are not available, so the entire axle assembly needs replaced. Developed in a partnership with Americas Most Wanted 4X4, Z Automotive Jeep JL/JT Z-Locker OEM controller harnesses provide a simple fix for faulty OEM axle locker. Each harness will bypass the problematic sensor, allowing the locker to operate without the position sensor and provide the proper feedback to the Jeep's computers to keep the system operational without any errors or warnings.
