Summit Racing™ Corvette-style servo piston kits allow you to swap out your OEM servo on your 700R4 or 4L60E/4L65E automatic transmission and improve shift quality and firmness. They have a larger piston area which increases band-apply pressure and holding power. These kits are drop-in upgrades and will really firm up the 1-2 shift. When standard OE pins just won't do, use Sonnax extra-long Servo pin and seal kits to get the job done right! The Sonnax 4L60/4L60-E servo pin is longer than the longest OE pin. The pins extra length simplifies adjustment, eliminating the need for having to add length to the pin, itself. The Servo pins are made from chromoly steel, so they're durable for high performance applications as well as stock replacement. Dual PTFE seals have been added to improve sealing in the case bore and as well as an O-ring to improve sealing between pin and the 2nd gear Servo. The kits include pin, PTFE seals and an O-ring seal.

Sonnax servo release check valve kits are unique solutions. Since the GM 4L60 (700-R4) and 4L60-E Series transmissions were introduced, they have had inadequate metering of 2nd gear band servo release oil resulting in 3-4 clutch pack failure. The 3-4 clutch pack and 2nd gear band are just not properly synchronized. Sonnax servo release check valve kits combine an orifice with a ball check valve to resolve these issues and successfully extend the life of 3-4 clutches, and improve the 2-3 shift feel. TCI 4L60E/4L65E bolt-together torque converters feature a triple-disc lock-up configuration and a bolt-together design that allows for easy disassembly. Removing the billet front provides access to the entire lock-up assembly, turbine, stator, and bearings for servicing or restalling for future vehicle modifications. To further enhance strength, TCI has included both a precision-ground billet impeller hub and billet front that is CNC-machined to reduce ballooning, while the billet turbine hub, billet lockup piston and billet clutch hub are pre-hardened. These patent-pending converters use a triple-disc lock-up clutch that utilizes woven carbon frictions designed to withstand the punishment of continuous slip lock-up control. The effective diameter of the clutch in conjunction with the triple-disc configuration provides for significantly higher torque capacity over the stock clutch. The lock-up clutch is attached to an industry-exclusive self regulating clutch hub which hydraulically modulates the apply pressure to allow for the smoothest engagement of any 4L60E/4L65E converter on the market.
