Summit Racing™ automatic transmission overflow tanks are designed for use with Powerglide transmissions. These catch tanks contain transmission fluid overflow to keep excess fluid from spilling onto the track or street. The cans bolt to the front of the transmission pan for a clean and trim fit.

They are designed to catch pressurized fluid when the car is running hot and then drain it back to the transmission as it cools. Constructed from .100 in. aluminum, these tanks have a 1.5 pint capacity that meets NHRA and IHRA overflow requirements. These Moroso automatic transmission expansion tanks prevent fluid mist from spraying on the race surface, back of your car and tires. Pressurized fluid is captured in the expansion tank and will drain back into the transmission as the transmission cools. Excess fluid may also be drained between rounds, by using the ball valve. If you own a Ram truck, chances are you've received a TSB from FCA/Stellantis regarding the risk of fire due to hot transmission fluid overflowing out of the filler tube and onto the turbo and manifold.
