In these front hubs, the races will be installed along with new stock size wheel studs, and a new castle nut, cotter pin, washer, and grease cap are included. Detroit Speed offers wheel hub conversion kits for hundreds of Chevrolet and GMC vehicles from the 1990s and up. They will convert select 2WD applications to a 5-lug bolt pattern. This allows you to have more options for aftermarket wheel and brake systems. The DSE wheel hubs have both 5 x 5 in. and 5 x 4.75 in. bolt patterns. Use of high performance hubs results in improved hub stiffness and performance, reduced brake caliper piston knock-back, and improved hub durability. Anyone who wheels hard, rock crawls, or rock races has experienced blown-up trunnion bearings; no matter what size they are using, the bearing is always the point of failure. Trail-Gear Rock Assault trunnion bearing eliminator kits totally displace the bearings with a solid "king pin" style pin that sits in a hardened bushing. The pin and bushing are made from a material considered "bearing quality" because of its high carbon content, giving it extreme hardness.
