Hays designed the Twister torque converters to be one step short of being a "Full Race" converter giving you the perfect combination of performance and affordability. Every torque converter is hand built, inspected and tested to ensure they meet the top of the line quality you expect. To ensure consistency and improve performance each converter is built for one transmission with one bolt pattern, meaning a lighter converter to maximize performance. High flow stators promote better cooling and heavy duty Torrington bearings are used to increase strength and durability. Hays Twister Full Race Torque Converters feature a custom-designed anti-balloon plate to stop any converter ballooning and swelling in racing situations. These torque converters are designed for use with a trans-brake and great for power adders such as nitrous, superchargers, and turbos. They're available with various RPM stall speed offerings to accommodate any mixture of modifications—including higher compression ratios, aftermarket camshafts, aftermarket cylinder heads, lower gear ratios, and vehicle weight loss. Additional product features: * All Full Race Series converters are built, tested, and proven to support up to 1,000 hp * Designed to handle the extreme shock and abuse of trans-brakes, nitrous oxide, superchargers, and turbochargers * State-of-the-art spray welding process is used in select areas. Summit Bucks
The ideal upgrade for performance vehicles with the GM 6L80 or 6L90 transmission, Sonnax extreme-duty 4-5-6 clutch hub and intermediate shaft guarantees maximum protection against shaft breakage. The unique hub design improves oil flow and accepts Powerglide-style frictions to optimize clutch durability. In place of the 2-piece shaft/hub, Sonnax uses a much stronger, one-piece design that eliminates the OE assembly's weak, welded connection. It is custom forged from ultra-high-strength 300M billet steel, and then heat-treated and shot-peened for added durability. This combination of features guards against broken 4-5-6 hubs and the risk of rear splines shearing off.

Street Master torque converters are designed for the driver who is looking for a competitive advantage. By raising the stall rpm, these converters will completely eliminate slow, sluggish starts. Recommended for stock to slightly modified engines for maximum performance, they'll allow the engine to idle smoothly when the car is in gear. All stall speeds are approximate ratings for fresh big block engines. Small blocks will vary 300 to 500 r.p.m. lower.

These converters were designed for applications with added horsepower, such as nitrous and trans-brake.
