Torque converters are considered one of the most mysterious mechanical components in today's vehicles. They function like a clutch, and keep the engine running even when the vehicle comes to a halt. By designing the stall speed to match both the engine and desired stall speed, ACC Performance converters help low-end idle speeds, improve performance, and acceleration. ACC Performance Products has emerged as an out-right leader in torque converters and here's why: * Boss Hogs are welded, not furnace-brazed; furnace brazing is not the best way to adhere torque converter components, it will erode and ruin the stators and all rotating parts * Industrial Torrington bearings handle more torque than smaller, uncased needle bearings * Aircraft aluminum washers instead of fiber washers put more horsepower and torque directly to the ground * ACC converters are hand-built and tested to ensure that you get the best converter money can buy * With returns below one percent, you are assured of the highest quality parts available * Street Bandit converters are designed to handle as much as 650 hp * Custom-engineered turbine hubs maintain the highest quality, strength, and durability * Stators are built with high-flow vents and channels for greater cooling to handle greater power and higher temperatures * Engineered with a single bolt pattern that makes ACC converters surprisingly light to free up your motor and allow it to gain rpm quicker Notes: * Boss Hog Street Bandit torque converters are not designed to handle the extreme shock and abuse of nitrous oxide or trans-brakes * It is imperative that a transmission cooler be added with any torque converter that is rated over stock stall speed

ACT race clutch discs are available in three distinct styles--choose the options that best suit your application. Spring-centered discs are the most popular and feature reduced driveline shock and spline wear with quieter operation. Rigid-hub versions offer improved durability but increase gear noise and spline wear. For either of those hub designs, you can choose six pads for better heat management and engagement, or four pads for the quickest shifting. Sintered iron discs offer the highest torque capacity and ultra-high heat capacity. They're designed for cars using clutch-less shifting or drag racing transmissions. Additional product details: * Premium ceramic friction materials provide high-heat tolerance, high coefficient of friction, and low wear rates * Carefully broached splines provide exact fit onto the transmission input shaft for long spline life and better clutch release * Heavy-duty torsional dampening springs are provided in the best sizes and spring rates to help reduce noise * Drive plates are made of high-carbon steel; heat-treated and black zinc coated to resist bending, cracking, fatigue, and rusting * Certified to SFI specifications

Hays Street 650 clutch conversion kits are designed to handle highly modified engines up to 650 hp naturally aspirated (600 hp for forced induction and nitrous combinations). The new 26-spline versions work in conjunction with a modern 5- or 6-speed transmission swap. These are true street/strip clutches for spirited high performance driving or frequent track use. The high performance dual-friction disc utilized in the Street 650 has an upgraded spring hub with heavy-duty damper springs to handle greater shock loads versus a standard damper spring. The disc features a sintered metallic friction surface and an organic friction surface. It does a great job at dissipating heat and fighting the slippage found in ordinary discs, along with providing the smooth engagement characteristics of a street-style clutch. These conversion kits also provide an upgraded heavy-duty pressure plate to round out the performance clutch. The Street 650 is a great choice if you visit the track often. Order the model recommended for your vehicle application. Features and benefits: * Upgraded damper springs deliver up to 30 percent more clamping pressure than stock OE clutch * Dual-friction disc offers the best of both worlds—smooth engagement and excellent holding capacity * All Street 650 clutch kits come complete with pressure plate, disc, throwout bearing, and alignment tool
