Sonnax Valve Bodies
Sonnax universal remanufactured valve bodies have been uniquely designed to fit a variety of '99-later Chrysler applications, regardless of OE checkball or solenoid configuration. The convenience of stocking one SKU number for various applications saves time, money and interchangeability confusion. The channel casting has been resurfaced to SAE recommended flatness and surface finish. The seasoned casting warpage is now eliminated, removing cross-leaks and manufacturing burrs that resulted in clutch distress and shift complaints. A new separator plate is also installed, along with gaskets, to seal the critical surfaces between the valve body and channel casting. Heavy-duty/high performance accumulator pistons with dual-guide seals are installed to prevent piston-to-bore scuffing and restore clutch pressures due to leakage. Patented Sonnax valves are installed to restore hydraulic pressures and eliminate shift complaints, trouble codes, converter concerns and overdrive clutch distress. Their patented accumulator cover plate—made from stronger, thicker material and secured with additional screws—is also installed to prevent flexing or breakage. To guarantee the highest level of operational performance, these remanufactured valve bodies are tested on state-of-the art equipment to verify that pressures match OE specification. Sonnax Automatic Transmission Pans
Ford vehicles with C6 transmissions often have oil pan leaks. The original Ford C6 oil pans are made with thin-gauge steel. If the oil pan bolts are over-tightened, the flange at the bolt holes will warp and result in a poor gasket seal. Once the oil pan flange is distorted, it's difficult to repair and get a good seal. Sonnax automatic transmission pans are 25 percent thicker than OE, made of heavy gauge material and will resist warping at the bolt holes. The thicker flange will allow the bolts to be tightened enough to compress the gasket evenly and result in a good seal. Sonnax pans will withstand repeated assembly without damage.

Sticking of bypass components, spring relaxation, or poor ball seat in Ford 4R100 and E4OD units will allow the bypass to open at lower cracking pressure. This reduces TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) apply pressure, cooler flow at the overdrive section, and radiator flow responsible for heat transfer. Sonnax Accumulator Pistons
Noticing some forward slip and/or delayed engagement with your GM automatic transmission? Sonnax accumulator pistons are direct replacements for OE plastic pistons and restore sealing integrity at the pin bore. The aforementioned issues, as well as burnt clutches and bands can be caused by loss of fluid. Deterioration at older aluminum piston pin bores due to repeated reciprocation and/or cracks in plastic accumulator pistons may be the cause. Avoid a costly valve body replacement by ordering a Sonnax accumulator piston.

Sonnax Automatic Transmission Pressure Regulator Valve Kits
GM 6L45, 6L50, 6L80 and 6L90 automatic transmission units may exhibit multiple line pressure and cooler/converter/lube flow problems due to excess wear in the pressure regulator bore. Deterioration at the balance spool end allows critical fluid loss, resulting in high line pressure, harsh shifts, and overheating due to reduced cooler/converter flow. Wear at the outboard spool robs converter feed pressure and lowers line pressure, resulting in soft shifts and burnt clutches. Installing a Sonnax pressure regulator valve kit restores the hydraulic integrity of these circuits for proper line pressure control in all ranges. A new pressure regulator valve outer spring is also included to replace weakened original springs and provide a modest 5 psi increase across the pressure curve.
