The splines that go into the OD planet have been lengthened and the undercut shoulder which has a very small inside diameter, has been removed. TSI also used a hobb to cut this spline—as compared to others who single point cut, which makes for a weaker spline and is considered to be the number one spot of failure for other aftermarket billet shafts.
