Worn babbit pump bushings in your GM Powerglide, 350, 400, or Allison AT540 transmission can allow the converter hub and inner pump gear to move off-center, thus causing damage to pump gears and the pump housing crescent. You can replace the worn originals with automatic transmission oil pump bushings from Sonnax. These direct replacements have tighter tolerances for improved fit over OE units, and they're lined with highly wear-resistant PTFE to help maximize the life of the older style and increasingly rare pumps.
