The Jeep NP231 is one of the most popular transfer cases, but it creates an extremely short rear driveshaft. These fixed yoke kits from Advance Adapters add 3 to 4 in. to the rear driveline length on a YJ, and up to 6 in. on a TJ. This results in a better driveshaft angle, eliminated driveline vibrations, and a transfer case that's ideal for trail use.

ATI Compu-Flow reverse manual valve bodies shift opposite of the OEM units, away from neutral when up-shifting (P-R-N-1-2-3). There is no automatic shifting. They will remain in the selected gear, allowing street-driven cars to move off in 2nd or 3rd gear in slippery conditions. The governor and related components are eliminated, as well as throttle pressure, cables/vacuum lines, and linkages. All units freewheel if you lift in low gear; there is no engine breaking. (Note--all turbo units freewheel in 2nd gear, except #353400 for the T-350.) These valves are not recommended for the Powerglide, since it must pass through low to get to neutral.

These TCI hardened input shafts have increased lubrication, flow, and strength, a resized diameter that provides optimum stress lubrication along the entire length of the shaft, and extended high-gear splines to the oil ring. They will require some minor machining of the stator support.
