FTI Performance SST Series custom-order torque converters are available for use with a variety of transmissions, including Powerglide, THM350, and THM400. The 9 in. units are used by top drag racers. A torque converter is what transmits torque from the engine to a rotating driven load. It's a type of fluid coupling which allows the engine to spin somewhat independently of the transmission. SST Series torque converters are available with a 0-blade stator for a turbo spline, or the looser 6T stator model.

Hays Twister Full Race Torque Converters feature a custom-designed anti-balloon plate to stop any converter ballooning and swelling in racing situations. These torque converters are designed for use with a trans-brake and great for power adders such as nitrous, superchargers, and turbos. They're available with various RPM stall speed offerings to accommodate any mixture of modifications—including higher compression ratios, aftermarket camshafts, aftermarket cylinder heads, lower gear ratios, and vehicle weight loss. Street Master torque converters are designed for the driver who is looking for a competitive advantage. By raising the stall rpm, these converters will completely eliminate slow, sluggish starts. Recommended for stock to slightly modified engines for maximum performance, they'll allow the engine to idle smoothly when the car is in gear. All stall speeds are approximate ratings for fresh big block engines. Small blocks will vary 300 to 500 r.p.m. lower.

ACC Performance LS Wild Boar Outlaw converters are built with the same quality parts as the Boss Hogs, but have the added features of welded fins (or furnace-brazed upon request) and anti-ballooning plates. These converters were designed for applications with added horsepower, such as nitrous and trans-brake. The Outlaw converters are 9.60 in. in diameter and have stall speeds ranging from 2,800 to 4,2000 rpm.

Made for supercharged engines, ATI Fuel & Blown torque converters are designed for the ultimate in high-horsepower holding for big cubic inch nitrous or supercharged engines. They feature a special 22-element sprag with double-cage construction to simultaneously control each sprag element. TCI Competition torque converters are proven race winners and an excellent choice for stock and Super Stock cars. They work well with both big and small blocks, producing power between 4,500 and 7,000 rpm. You'll maintain engine rpm between shifts with their efficient design, and gain improved reliability with an oversize caged bearing supporting a new stator.
