TransGo Automatic transmission modulator conversion kits provide a more aggressive and tunable pressure boost curve with engine vacuum instead of the vehicle PCM controlling PCS/EPC solenoid. TransGo modulator conversion kits include everything needed to add the internal modulator system with the oil pan off the transmission. From the outside of the transmission, you will need to connect it to an intake manifold vacuum source, however hardware is not provided for this. The kits do come with an oil pan-based resistor to pacify the control module for the missing EPC solenoid in applications where the computer will still manage the gear changes. Converter lock-up will occur 8 to10 seconds after 4th gear engagement, allowing enough engine rpm gain before lock-up, giving your engine more performance and providing a better feel to lock-up. Bowler's lock-up modules only require one 2 amp fused 12 V wire to operate. No vacuum switch is necessary allowing these modules to function correctly with all types of engines, and there are no bulky boxes to hide or mount. The control modules have the GM 4-prong connector integrated onto the control board, and are epoxy coated to stay protected against the elements. Choose the kit designed for your transmission. Kits include: * Lock-up control module * Internal wiring harness with lock-up solenoid and mounting studs * Pressure switch * Pan gasket * New transmission filter * Case pass through connector * Brake light switch—standard that has a normally closed switch (for your lock-up module) and a normally open switch (for your brake lights). The brake switch does not have to be installed for the lock-up module to function, but will allow the driver to tap the brake to un-lock the converter at any time. If you are going up an incline and need a few more rpms to get up that hill, just tap the brake, and the lock-up will turn off and not re-engage for approximately 8 seconds. For those with a high-gear ratio and late down shifts who experience a chug of the motor due to the lock-up converter still being engaged; the switch will eliminate this concern.
