Hays Street 650 Clutch Conversion Kits
Hays Street 650 clutch conversion kits are designed to handle highly modified engines up to 650 hp naturally aspirated (600 hp for forced induction and nitrous combinations). The new 26-spline versions work in conjunction with a modern 5- or 6-speed transmission swap. These are true street/strip clutches for spirited high performance driving or frequent track use. The high performance dual-friction disc utilized in the Street 650 has an upgraded spring hub with heavy-duty damper springs to handle greater shock loads versus a standard damper spring. The disc features a sintered metallic friction surface and an organic friction surface. It does a great job at dissipating heat and fighting the slippage found in ordinary discs, along with providing the smooth engagement characteristics of a street-style clutch. These conversion kits also provide an upgraded heavy-duty pressure plate to round out the performance clutch. The Street 650 is a great choice if you visit the track often. RAM Force 10.5 Dual Disc Clutch Kits
RAM Force 10.5 dual disc clutch kits have a strap-driven floater plate and are precision-balanced for quiet operation. The sprung hub top disc absorbs shock and reduces driveline noise. Force clutches are available with your choice of a 300 Series friction disc or a 900 Series disc. The 300 Series organic disc models are capable of handling 500 to 800 hp; while the 900 Series metallic models can handle between 600 and 1,200 hp. These kits use a marcel spring—a thin, wavy device that helps to eliminate the go-or-no-go tendency that similar dual disc clutches have. RAM Force 10.5 dual disc clutch kits include a billet aluminum, SFI-certified flywheel with a steel insert that has sufficient mass to draw heat away from the clutch without distortion. Hays Heavy-Duty Flexplates
Hays heavy-duty flexplates for high performance and competition engines are constructed from a thicker-than-stock steel plate. This enables them to withstand the stress of high-stall torque converters and high-rpm engines. While factory stock plates tend to crack around the crankshaft hub when punished under high-torque and rpm conditions, the thicker Hays flexplates can handle the force. These heavy-duty flexplates are supplied with a ring gear that is securely welded in place. All Hays heavy-duty flexplates are zinc-dichromate plated to resist corrosion and SFI-certified under specification 29.1.
