Too much line pressure can cause damage to various parts under the hood of your vehicle. TransGo vacuum bypass kits will run vacuum to the transmission, even set to full manual. Not doing so will put excessive strain on your pump, seals, and engine thrust bearing. Bypass units are for use on engines with a vacuum modulator that are supercharged or turbocharged—to prevent increased boost from causing runaway line pressure.
