The Ford AOD transmission is a popular upgrade for older vehicles that originally ran 3-speed transmissions. When you want to get rid of lugging in third and fourth gear then you'll need TransGo input shafts. These hardened shafts work with cast iron or stamped steel drums, and allow one to run a custom high stall or stock C6 converter with the AOD giving it open converter performance. Not only will this get rid of the lugging but they will also take care of coast down chug.
