Factory Toyota axle housings are available in a narrow range of widths which may not fit your crawler well. Trail-Gear fabricated axle housings allow you to use Toyota axles in nearly any width—from the narrowest of moon buggies to full-size trucks. These end flanges can be welded to the bare tubes of Trail-Gear's 8 in., 8 in. E-locker, and 8.4 in. fabricated axle housings. Flanges are designed to work with 1979-95 Toyota pickups or 2005-15 Toyota Tacoma rear axle housing components. They're available to fit 3.5 in. Trail-Gear Rock Assault trunnion bearing eliminator kits totally displace the bearings with a solid "king pin" style pin that sits in a hardened bushing. The pin and bushing are made from a material considered "bearing quality" because of its high carbon content, giving it extreme hardness. To make sure these pins provide you with smooth steering, Trail-Gear has added zerk grease fittings and machined the pins with grease passages and grooves--so they can be easily lubricated without any disassembly of the steering knuckle.
