Summit Racing™ torque converter lockup kits are a simple way to control converter clutch lockup in 4th gear when swapping a GM 700R4 or 200-4R transmission in an early non-computer controlled vehicle. The adjustable vacuum switch will hold the clutch on during steady state cruising and disengage when accelerating or downshifting. In an automatic transmission the sprag also called a one-way, or roller clutch is a mechanical clutch designed to lock up or stop a drum from rotating when a clutch is applied during an up shift. Summit Racing™ offers replacement ring gear bolts for a variety of differentials. They secure the ring gears in place to keep them from moving out of alignment, which could damage the differential or pinion gear. These steel bolts are especially important in drag racing, where tremendous shock loads are generated at launch—putting considerable strain on the ring gear.
