Sonnax Shift Cable Mounting Brackets

Transmission cases made in 1994 and 1995 have neutral safety switch mounting holes, but do not have the top mount shifter bracket holes. That's where these Sonnax shift cable mount brackets come into play, by allowing installation of the 1994 and 1995 transmissions or cases into 1996–97 vehicles that originally had case mounted shifter brackets. Sonnax Solenoid Stabilization Retainers

The small OE spring steel retainers used to hold the heavy solenoids in the valve body are prone to collapse, allowing the solenoids to wobble in the bore and preventing them from properly controlling the shift processes. Collapsed spring retainers also allow the solenoid to damage the casting at opening of the clutch valve bores. Securely hold the solenoid in place with Sonnax solenoid stabilization retainers. An improved Sonnax design adds 32 percent more surface area to contact the casting/solenoid interface for better support and leverage. Also, the tops of the retainers are rolled over creating a positive stop for the flexible side to land against, furthering the prevention of retainer collapse.
