RAM Single Disc Push-Type Conversion C4 Corvette Clutch Kits
These RAM single disc push-type conversion C4 Corvette clutch kits are designed to replace the pull-style clutch and dual mass flywheel in your factory 1989-96 C4 Chevrolet Corvette. They consist of an aluminum flywheel, a high-clamp Borg and Beck-style pressure plate with a 2,800 lb. clamp load, and a RAM 300 Series organic clutch disc. The RAM single disc push-type conversion C4 Corvette clutch kits use an internal hydraulic throwout bearing, replacing the factory release mechanism, to complete the install. RAM Premium Replacement Clutch Kits
RAM premium replacement clutch kits are the first choice of professional installers, because each set contains the correct replacement parts to ensure proper fit and operation in your vehicle. Kits include an OEM diaphragm or lever style pressure plate, clutch disc, and a clutch-alignment tool. Some clutch sets will include a throwout bearing. The clutch disc features either a 5- or 6-spring standard hub or helix hub, just like the originals. These clutch sets are great for unmodified street vehicles and restorations. The flywheel must be resurfaced or replaced prior to installation to validate the warranty. RAM clutch kits are available in more than a hundred models for fitment on thousands of vehicle-specific applications.

RAM Billet Aluminum Flywheels
If you're building an all-out competition car, then you need a lightweight flywheel that will allow the engine to rev quicker and not eat up a lot of power. RAM billet aluminum flywheels greatly reduce rotating weight to permit quicker revving and higher power output, but still retain enough mass to resist heat distortion that could adversely affect clutch performance. RAM billet aluminum flywheels are made in America and produced in house. All RAM flywheels are computer-balanced within a 1/2 oz., surface ground (which results an optimum mating surface), and are ready to run out of the box. SFI-approved, these flywheels are CNC-machined from certified materials and have rugged steel friction-surface inserts. RAM's billet aluminum flywheels feature a 1/4 in. thick friction insert to dissipate heat away without distortion. Technical note: As it spins, a heavy flywheel stores more energy than a lighter one. Engine and gearing combinations that require more power or inertia to make the car launch without bogging the motor need heavier flywheels. However, heavier flywheels accelerate slower. Lighter flywheels create less inertia at launch, but accelerate quicker through the gears. To effectively use a lighter flywheel, you must consider the car's weight, operating rpm of the engine, and, most importantly, the gearing. Too little gear will cause the engine to 'bog' on launch.
