These internal seals can help to eliminate premature rear-end failure. The seal housings are O-ring types with spring-loaded seals, and are designed for use with most 3 in. O.D. axle tubes. Allstar Performance Ford 9 in. housing studs are installed into the housing and pulled through a nut to provide a pressed fit. Their main purpose is to secure the center section into the housing and keep it that way. T-bolt style fasteners are also offered to secure brake backing plates and brackets to Ford 9 in. late model Torino housing ends.
