Gen-Y The Boss Torsion Flex Drop adjustable hitches are built to accommodate extra-heavy towing loads—up to 32,000 lbs. with 3,500 lbs. tongue weight. They're available with 2 1/2 in. or 3 in. receivers and a choice of raise/drop options with adjustable positions. The Boss hitches work with the Gen-Y weight distribution system. The 2 1/2 in. hitches can be used with any standard 2 1/2 in. I.D. receiver; and the 3 in. versions are compatible with all 3 in. I.D. receivers, including late-model Ford Super Duty trucks and Reese Super Titan hitches. Offset model hitches are even more versatile. Now you can raise your hitch or lower it (raise/drop and adjustment positions vary by hitch), providing more options—especially for dual-purpose jobs using a tow bar and a luggage rack at the same time. The Boss offset hitches are also compatible with the Gen-Y weight distribution system. Today's lighter fifth wheel trailers, combined with improved towing capacities of most new pickup models, means RV enthusiasts have more truck and trailer combination options than ever before. One of the big advantages of a short bed truck is a shorter wheelbase compared to trucks with 8 ft. beds. A shorter wheelbase means improved turning radius and greater maneuverability both around town and in the campground.
